Automated Storage And Retrieval System

Goodwe
Goodwe
Founded in Suzhou in 2010, this leading photovoltaic energy storage company is a listed company on the Science and Technology Innovation Board (STAR Market) (688390). It is among the top three global suppliers of hybrid inverters, with business operations in over 100 countries, 27 sales and service centers, and 11 overseas subsidiaries.
The company focuses on the R&D, production, and sales of new energy power equipment such as solar and energy storage systems. Its core business revolves around photovoltaic grid-connected inverters, energy storage inverters, and energy storage batteries, and it is committed to providing comprehensive smart energy management solutions.

Project Introduction:
Located in Guangde, Anhui Province, the project covers an area of approximately 25,100 square meters, with a warehouse height of 26 meters and a planned storage capacity of 11,420 units.
The project's electrical control system mainly consists of a control system, a communication system, and a computer management and monitoring system. It is capable of automatically completing the storage and retrieval of goods according to instructions and automatically managing the inventory, achieving fully automated operations.

Solution Introduction:
The WMS warehouse management system provides real-time information management for automated warehouses, accurately tracking the entire process of goods from inbound to outbound, meeting customers' sophisticated inventory management needs.
The Dax warehouse control system interacts with the WMS system, receiving instructions from it.
It is primarily used in automated warehouses and is a crucial component of them. Based on the layout and operational procedures of GoodWe's production workshop, Haote's technical department designed a solution for this automated warehouse. This warehouse primarily stores finished products from the workshop and distributes corresponding products outbound according to customer orders.
The warehouse is located on the east side of the production workshop. Reversible roller conveyors are installed on the north and south sides of floors 2, 3, and 4. The project's operational process involves calling main pallets in advance at specific times to the inbound/outbound ends, then using AGVs or forklifts to retrieve the main pallets and place them in the palletizing area.
Palletized goods are retrieved by AGVs or forklifts and placed at the designated inbound port where the conveyor equipment automatically scans and stores them. On the south side of the first-floor outbound area, inverters are folded and palletized for outbound shipments, while empty pallets are palletized and stored. On the north side, photovoltaic modules are outbound, i.e., empty pallets are palletized and stored. Haote helped GoodWe achieve refined warehouse management, which also provided higher economic benefits.

Battery Cell Library

Unit dimensions: D1100*W1200*H1200 mm (including mother tray)
Weight: 1000 kg (including mother tray)

Number of aisles: 1 double-deep (4 rows of racks)
Number of pallet positions: 13 columns * 4 rows * 12 layers * 2 - 8 = 1240 pallets

Finished Goods Warehouse

Unit dimensions: D1400*W1200*H1300 mm (including mother tray)
Weight: 1000kg (including mother tray)

Number of aisles: 4 double-deep (14 rows of racks)
Number of pallet positions: 28 columns * 14 rows * 11 layers * 2 - 32 - 32 = 8560 (Confirmed at the meeting on August 22, 2023)

Total

1620 + 1240 + 8560 = 11420 cargo spaces

What Problem is Being Solved?
1. Increased efficiency
2. Reduced costs and enabled automation

Scope of Supply:
One set of warehouse racks, seven stacker crane systems, one set of pallet conveying system (including a mother pallet collector, a mother-child pallet unpacking machine, a child pallet stacking machine, and a wrapping machine, etc.), and corresponding management software and equipment accessories.

The elevation view of the finished goods warehouse is as follows:

Raw material warehousing process:
Manual unloading of raw materials/cells; supply of mother trays to the unpacking machine; the unpacking machine disassembles the mother trays individually and transports them to the inlet; manual stacker trucks place the daughter trays on the mother trays for palletizing; and the materials are then automatically stored via conveyor line/stacker crane.

Schematic Diagram:

Raw material outbound process:
Through the outbound task under MES/ERP, the stacker crane moves the goods to the conveyor line, the conveyor line transports them to the designated shipping port, the manual stacker truck removes the sub-pallets from the line, and the mother pallet returns to the pallet stacker for stacking and warehousing via the conveyor line.

Schematic Diagram:

Raw material warehousing process:
Manually, the child pallets are placed at the entrance and transported by the conveyor line to the stacking mother-child pallet position. Simultaneously, empty pallet groups are moved to the pallet stacking machine. The stacking machine removes the empty pallets and transports them to the stacking mother-child pallet position. The mother-child pallets are stacked together and then transported into the warehouse by the conveyor line.

Schematic Diagram:

Raw Material Outbound Process:
Finished Product Outbound Process: After receiving the outbound task from the MES/ERP system, the WMS system initiates the outbound process, controlling the stacker crane to move the goods to the designated storage location and transport them to the conveyor line's pallet unloading position. The pallet is then transported by the conveyor line to the pallet stacking machine for pallet stacking and return to the warehouse. The child pallets are transported by the conveyor line to the final exit where they are stacked/wrapped with film, and finally, a forklift removes them from the warehouse.
