Mold Shelves
Also known as mold racks or drawer-type mold shelves, these are heavy-duty shelves specifically designed for storing various molds. A single layer can bear a load of 1-5 tons and can be adapted to different specifications of injection molds and stamping molds. The shelf height is generally 2-4 meters, and it is a customized storage equipment.

Used for the classified storage, safe access, and maintenance of various heavy-duty molds, it supports the rapid retrieval and return of molds to their original positions, avoiding damage caused by stacking, and can also store mold accessories.

How can mold racks be properly protected against moisture and rust? Are they suitable for use in humid environments?
Moisture-proof and rust-proof treatment methods: ① The main body of the shelving adopts pickling and phosphating + electrostatic powder coating process, and the drawer slides are coated with anti-rust oil; ② A dehumidifier is installed in the warehouse to control the ambient humidity to ≤60%; ③ The surface coating of the shelving is inspected regularly (every six months), and if paint peeling occurs, it is touched up in time. Mold shelving with special anti-rust treatment can be used in humid environments (such as warehouses in the rainy season in the south), but it is not recommended to use it in the open air or in highly corrosive environments.
Do mold racks need to be installed on a load-bearing surface? Can a regular surface support them?
These racks need to be installed on a load-bearing surface. A single drawer of the mold rack can bear a weight of 1-5 tons, which puts considerable pressure on the ground. Ordinary cement floors must meet the following requirements: compressive strength ≥ C30 and ground bearing capacity ≥ 5 tons/㎡. If the ground strength is insufficient, load-bearing pads (steel plates or concrete slabs) need to be installed at the bottom of the rack uprights to distribute the pressure and prevent ground settlement.
Can the drawer dimensions of the mold rack be customized? Can it accommodate irregularly shaped molds?
It can be fully customized. The length, width, and height of the drawers can be adjusted according to the mold size (e.g., the standard drawer size is 1.2m×0.6m×0.5m, while the customized version can be 2m×1m×0.8m). For irregularly shaped molds, customized trays, limit blocks, or anti-slip pads can be added inside the drawers to ensure that the mold is placed stably and avoids shaking, adapting to various non-standard molds.
What lifting equipment can be used with mold racks? How should different weight molds be selected?
Suitable hoisting equipment includes: ① Manual hoist: suitable for small molds weighing ≤1 ton, low cost and easy operation; ② Electric hoist: suitable for medium-sized molds weighing 1-3 tons, high efficiency and labor-saving; ③ Overhead crane + electric suction cup: suitable for large molds weighing 3-5 tons, stable hoisting and high safety. The appropriate hoisting equipment must be selected based on the mold weight and warehouse height, and must be fixedly connected to the top load-bearing beam of the racking.
How far can the drawers of the mold rack be pulled out? Will the load-bearing capacity decrease after they are pulled out?
The standard drawers can be pulled out 60%-80%, which is convenient for mold hoisting and maintenance. The load-bearing capacity will not decrease after being pulled out because the drawers are designed with heavy-duty guide rails and reinforced crossbeams. The load-bearing capacity of the guide rails is the same as when the drawer is closed (e.g., 1 ton/drawer, 3 tons/drawer). However, care should be taken to avoid excessive force on one side when pulling out the drawers to prevent the shelves from tilting.
