Medium-Duty Shelving
Type B shelving is a type of medium-duty shelving made of high-quality plate steel. It is specifically designed for storing small to medium-sized goods. Its core design highlight is its flexible adaptability; it can be used alone to meet small storage needs, or the storage area can be expanded by combining main and auxiliary frames.
Product Details
1. The shelving frame is constructed from interlocking frames and P-shaped closed beams, secured with safety pins, resulting in a simple and reliable structure.
2. Shelves are placed on the beams to form the overall shelving unit. Shelves can be made of wood, steel, or steel mesh.
3. Each shelf can be adjusted vertically in 50mm increments to accommodate storage needs of different sized goods.
4. The shelving surface is powder-coated. Each shelf in different sizes can bear a load of 300-800kg.
Advantages of Type B Shelving
High cost-performance ratio: Low cost, strong load-bearing capacity, wear-resistant, easy to replace, and low maintenance cost, allowing you to use high-quality products at a low cost.
Easy installation: The B-type shelving is simple and quick to install, requiring no special tools, saving time and money.

Application of Type B Shelving
Due to its simple structure, strong versatility, easy assembly, and low implementation cost, warehouse pallet shelves are the most commonly used storage system. They are particularly suitable for the following situations:
Small and medium-sized boxed and bagged goods and bulk small and medium-sized parts
Fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) distribution
Small to medium-sized parts
Retail supermarkets
FAQs
Are medium-duty shelves prone to loosening after long-term use? How should they be maintained and cared for?
No maintenance is required under normal use (except for overloaded storage or rough handling). If customers have inconsistent product types and weights over a long period of time, it is recommended to check the frame and crossbeam load-bearing capacity and the presence of missing safety pins every 3-6 months. At the same time, keep the warehouse dry and well-ventilated to reduce the corrosion of steel by moisture.
Are medium-duty shelving units suitable for use in warehouses with low ceiling heights? What is the maximum suitable warehouse ceiling height?
Ideal for warehouses with low ceilings, typically designed to be no more than 2-3 meters high, suitable for warehouses with a ceiling height of ≥2.2 meters. For warehouses with a ceiling height of 3-4 meters, storage capacity can be increased by adding more shelves (equipped with a ladder). Storage below 2 meters can be done manually, eliminating the need to waste vertical space.
Do medium-duty shelving units require a professional installation team? Is it difficult to install them yourself?
No professional installation team is required; self-installation is relatively easy. The shelving uses a modular structure, and the accessories include uprights, beams, shelves, and safety pins. It can be completed by 2-3 people working together, and the only tool needed is a hammer. The installation time depends on the number of shelving units, the on-site installation environment, and the number of floors (typically ? groups/person/day).
Can the shelf spacing of a medium-duty shelving unit be adjusted freely? What is the typical step distance for adjustment?
The ability to adjust freely is one of the core advantages of medium-duty shelving. The standard vertical step distance is 50 or 75 mm, which can be flexibly adjusted according to the height of the goods to accommodate different sizes of boxed, bagged, or small palletized goods without additional modifications.
What is the maximum load-bearing capacity of a single layer of medium-duty shelving? What weights of goods is it suitable for storing?
Medium-duty shelving typically has a single-layer load capacity of 100-500kg, and the total frame load capacity generally does not exceed 4000kg. It is suitable for storing small to medium-sized goods with a single box weight of 50-100kg, such as electronic components, daily chemical products, small household appliance parts, fasteners, and other small products. It is not recommended to store overweight or excessively large heavy goods.
